The first European known to have visited Florida was the Spanish Explorer Ponce De Leon. Searching for an island, which according to native lore, was the site of a fountain of youth. The then, Governor of Puerto Rico made landfall on March 27, 1513 near the mouth of the St. Johns River. He named his new discovery "La Florida." Although failing to find this fabulous fountain,. he did set a course that would lead to a race to establish the first permanent set6tlement in this new land.
Florida is the Overlord/Xeno Game Company's first, in a series of multi-player games that captures the excitement and drama of the Age of Discovery. The players must brave hostile Indians, storms and fight each other and attempt to build settlements in this new land.
