Incredible Hulk (vol 1) #454 VF

The Locot tribe of the Savage Land have taken in the Hulk for his triumph over a Tyrannosaurus upon which they now feast. The Locot have decorated themselves to resemble the Hulk, while their shaman leader intends to use the Hulk in a territorial dispute with the Nowek tribe. The shaman offers Hulk the heart of the dinosaur, in order for him to aquire the creature's savagery. On a nearby cliff side, Leesha, leader of the Nowek tribe, appeals to Ka-Zar for his aid in the coming battle. Wolverine has also tracked the Hulk to the Savage Land. He offers his explanation of how the Hulk came to be in the company of the Locot: after being chased off "his" island in the Florida Keys, Hulk was pursued by the military, led by Col. St. Lawrence, to Antarctica. There, St. Lawrence's fighters launched missiles that set up an energy draining field around the Hulk. Unexpectedly, a pterodactyl attacked his pursuers, and as the Hulk disrupted the energy field, an oversized Tyrannosaurus Rex broke through the ice, then fell below into the Savage Land, taking the Hulk with him. Soon, as the Nowek wait in ambush, the Hulk crashes through the trees, acting as vanguard in the attack. The two tribes engage in battle with Ka-Zar and Wolverine on the Nowek side and Hulk on the Locot side. Wolverine slashes at Hulk , who stumbles back and screams, but realizes he's uninjured. Pointing out Wolverine's lack of adamantium in his claws, Hulk smiles and proceeds to beat Wolverine mercilessly. The battle is interrupted by another Tyrannosaurus Rex, which grabs Hulk in its jaws, and hurls him some distance away. The two tribes unite and take the dinosaur down. Later, the two tribes share a celebratory feast, but the shaman and Leesha reveal to each other that each has poisoned the other tribe's food or drink. Resigning themselves to their fates, they share a toast. Wolverine catches up with the Hulk and congratulates him on his plot to unite the tribes, giving him a slap on the shoulder.
