1. After a hard day of fighting evil mutants, Sentinels, and whatnot, Logan finally gets a chance to spend a day with his foster daughter Amiko, who wants to waste it looking at art. He finally convinces her to let him take her to the carnival instead, but while there he's enraged by a crowd making fun of him, loses his temper, and takes it out on Amiko - physically. Now he must deal with the aftermath of his anger, and the possible loss it may have brought him.
2. Wolverine is now alone on an island reflecting on what he has done wrong, until a mysterious beast attacks...
3. Is it all a dream? One second Logan is bleeding to death, and the next he's waking up at the same spot on the beach next to a young boy from the island.
4. Wolverine confronts the beast again, and sees his face. Is it real? Does it matter? The Beast looks like him.
5. The mini-series comes to a gorgeous conclusion, when Wolverine finds out more about himself than he could ever imagine…
