An internicine squabbles near the boiling point in Olympus, Deunan finds herself recruited by Administrative Director Anthena's ESWAT Special Action Team designated to guard the city-state's central computer Gaia. But Gaia, charged with protecting the human race, learns of the ruling bioroid council's Hope Plan - a program regulating the minds and bodies of the human race - and launches as all-out attck on Olympus with the city's own defensive gun platforms.
