Suddenly the Silver Surfer arrives with the warning that one of the Elders of the Universe plans to murder the Avengers. What follows is a contest of Champions. It's the East Coast Avengers, Captain America, Thor, Wasp, She Hulk, Dr. Druid, Captain Marvel, and Black Knight, vs. the West Coast Avengers, Hawkeye, Iron Man, Wonder Man, Tigra, Moon Knight, Mockingbird, and Hank Pym, and the heroes' very souls are the prize.
