"The Red Triangle Agenda"
A sorting-out of the Soviet superteams; app. by Captain America, Vanguard, Darkstar, Sputnik, Perun, Fantasma, Stencil, Unicorn, Synthesizer, Sibercat, URSA Major, Airstrike (Crimson Dynamo, Dimitri Bukharin), Red Guardian, Titanium Man, Firefox, Blind Faith, and Crimson Dynamo.
- Issue features material originally intended to run in Marvel Comics Presents (Marvel, 1988 series), so it is somewhat out of continuity with contemporary comics. For example, Vostok is still going under his previous name of Sputnik in this story.
- Dimitri Bukharin becomes Airstrike, formerly Crimson Dynamo
- Sputnik is renamed Vostok
- The Supreme Soviets becomes the People's Protectorate
- The issue includes brief flashbacks to the events of Captain America Vol 1 352-353 (April, 1989-May, 1989), as the story serves as a sequel to that storyline. The subplots introduced in the previous storyline (the Soviet Super-Soldiers defecting, the Supreme Soviets introduced as their replacements and rivals) had been left with no real resolution.
