1. "Wish You Were Here!"
During their honeymoon, the minds of Jean and Scott are transported to human host bodies in the Askani future by Rachel, aka Mother Askani. She is now over a hundred years old and the Askani Clan is destroyed. She explains that she brought the two into the future because she can’t raise baby Nathan and overthrow Apocalypse herself. Baby Nathan, however, had been captured by Palidan Ch'Vayre. Jean and Scott manage to wrest the baby from him and escape in a floodwave. 2000 years from everything they know and remember, they have to raise the child and overthrow Apocalypse’s rule.
2. "Tenure"
Cyclops and Jean Grey have been in the future for five years. Their identities are hidden by the monikers "Slym" and "Redd." They travel to Crestcoast with a young Nathan Christopher in hopes of finding a place to hide from Apocalypse until Nathan is older. Opposition comes, however, when the family tries to enter the city. Some ruffian mutants play with the idea of turning the "Daysprings" in to Apocalypse, but they are saved by a mysterious cyborg named Turrin.
3. "Through the Years"
Jean finds herself going through her old lessons with Nathan in an attempt to help him control his mutant powers. By night, however, Jean and Cyclops accompany the Clan Rebellion on missions attempting to overthrow Apocalypse. This mission, the group finds the progenitor to the Legacy Virus, are attacked by Ch'Vayre, and find a first meeting between Cable and Stryfe. The Clan also witnesses the mutant powers of the Dayspring family.
4. "Sacrifice"
Ch'Vayre turns on Apocalypse and attacks with Jean's help. Meanwhile, Nathan fights for his life as Cyclops looks on. Nathan pulls through and the Dayspring clan unites to stop Apocalypse from transferring his soul into Stryfe. Cyclops and Jean are then sent back into their present with Jean taking the name of Phoenix.
