In the first story, Morbius is being blamed for murders he knows he has not committed. He investigates, discovering dark secrets and unusual allies. In the Darkholds story, a local police officer had used one of the book's pages in exchange for his legal troubles vanishing. They do, only thanks to a race of information gathering demonic beasts only he can perceive and live inside all humans.
